TCL receives award for syllabus design

The Technical College of the Lowcountry has been recognized for its syllabus design.

The Design Star Award, given by Simple Syllabus, recognizes an institution that has developed and implemented both a professional and appealing design for their syllabi.

TCL’s syllabus was selected from the work of thousands of instructors and designers from hundreds of institutions.

Representatives from Simple Syllabus, an online publishing platform that serves colleges and universities nationwide, said that recipients of the award have implemented best practices associated with web design to make sure their content “looks good and is easily usable by their students and campus community.”

“This is our way to recognize instructional innovation and teaching excellence,” a statement from the company read.
