TCL’s health sciences programs achieve 100 percent pass rates on national licensing exams
Several of the Technical College of the Lowcountry’s health sciences programs recently achieved a 100 percent pass rate on national licensing exams.
Those included TCL’s Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapy Assistant, Massage Therapy, Nursing (2nd quarter cohort) and Medical Assisting programs.
Of the 49 total students enrolled in these five programs, all passed the various national licensing exams required to work in their fields, said TCL’s Dean of Health Sciences Joey Swearingen.
“We are very proud, not only of the success of these students, but of our faculty and staff as well,” Swearingen said. “This is further indication of our commitment to providing students in the Lowcountry with quality instruction and an education that meets and exceeds national standards.”
Swearingen went on to say that it was particularly noteworthy given that the students began their programs during the Covid pandemic.
“They have certainly persevered through difficult times and we couldn’t be more proud of them,” he said.
